8th Annual Diggin’ in the Dark: Genealogy After Hours Event

Thanks for stopping by this weeks SCDL Tree Talk Tuesday Blog Post. October is family history month and we have been busy with a series of classes and are getting ready to wrap up the celebration on October 28th when we will once again be hosting our annual Diggin’ in the Dark: Genealogy After Hours Research Night.

During the evening will  have representative’s from DAR, The McKinley Museum, Stark County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society and The Ohio Genealogical Society, here to answer questions and about their groups as well as the Genealogy Staff to help with researching during the evening.

This year we also have a special guest speaker, Mary Milne Jamba who will be giving a presentation on Understanding DNA Results for Genealogy purposes.

If you haven’t attended before or are a regular attender make sure you get your reservation in soon, spaces are filling up fast!

In the Keller-Gallery: Mom What’s That? “Many items that used to be commonplace are now quaint nods to the past.  You might remember them, but do your kids know what they are?  This exhibition will feature artifacts from the late 20th century, such as rotary phones, typewriters, VCRs, and lots more!”
